Industry Season 4: What to Expect

Industry season four is coming to an end with only the finale left before the show concludes. The eight-part drama has been a hit across both sides of the Atlantic since its return in the new year, with twists that have kept viewers on the edge of their seats. This includes characters like Sweetpea Goglightly (played by Miriam Petche) and Eric Tao (Ken Leung). Here’s everything you need to know about the final episode, what happens next, and the future of the HBO and BBC show. Be warned, this article contains spoilers from Industry season four.

When Will the Final Episode Air?

In the UK, Industry season four, episode eight will be available on the BBC iPlayer starting at 6am on Monday, March 2. The season four finale, titled Both, And, will then air on BBC One. After the season wraps up, British viewers can watch all episodes and previous seasons as a boxset on the BBC iPlayer.

For those in the USA, the show will be released earlier on HBO Max on Sunday, March 1. The episode will also air on HBO at 9pm ET on the day of release. It’s worth noting that HBO previously adjusted its release schedule for Industry to accommodate the Super Bowl, but this change was only for one week.

What Happens in the Final Episode?

HBO released a trailer for Both, And, which suggests that Yasmin Muck (played by Marisa Abela) will reconcile with her husband Henry (Kit Harington) after taking him down along with the corrupt fintech firm Tender in the penultimate episode. In the trailer, Henry is seen holding a magazine with his face on the front, featuring the headline: “Britain’s shame: Comeback capitalism.”

Labour MP Jennifer Bevan (Amy James-Kelly), who survived Tender’s fallout, comments in a TV interview: “Criminally-minded anomalies, but Tender is not an anomaly. The market apparatus will always find its useful scapegoat.”

The preview shows Harper Stern (Myha’la) typing frantically on a keyboard. The scene then shifts to France, where a jubilant Yasmin says: “Remember, babe, it’s Paris. Anything could happen.” A group of people are seen toasting at a long table, suggesting that Yasmin and Harper have now formed an alliance after last week’s deal.

However, the two still seem at odds as Harper receives some tough love when Yasmin warns her: “We both know that this world will own you if you don’t harden up.” Later, Harper tells Kwabena Bannerman (Toheeb Jimoh): “I wanna protect myself.” But he responds: “Not at the cost of everything else. That’s too high a price.”

Audiences then see a montage of the show’s characters, ending with Harper saying to Kwabena: “It’s not for me.” A short blurb from the BBC for the upcoming instalment reads: “Following Whitney’s (Max Minghella) bold move in the US, Yasmin and Henry are left with the albatross Tender has become. Yasmin seizes the chance at a new opportunity, while Henry considers whether to challenge the status quo. Meanwhile, Harper sends an investor letter. Harper, Yasmin and Henry face a moment of reckoning as the real question becomes: who’s going to stay afloat?”

Will There Be Another Season?

Yes! The show has been renewed by HBO for a fifth and final season. Creative duo Kay and Down said in a statement: “We’re privileged to have joined the small, esteemed club of dramas that have run for five seasons on HBO.” They later added: “For some time now we have been thinking about how best to end the show on an unparalleled high. Unlike some of our characters, we know when to leave a party.”

They thanked their fan base, especially those who have watched from day one, as well as the cast and crew. They also expressed their gratitude to HBO: “Seeing the HBO ident in front of our work will never stop being a thrill. It remains the best place to make television, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration well into the future.”

Final Notes

Industry season four concludes on HBO and HBO Max in the USA on Sunday, March 1 and on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Monday, March 2.
